LIBERAL CANDIDATE FOR WENDOUREE, AMY JOHNSON, TODAY ANNOUNCED FUNDING FOR A SECOND HOCKEY PITCH IN BALLARAT.

If the Liberals are victorious in November’s state election, they will provide $1.8 million in funding for a second hockey pitch and changerooms for Hockey Ballarat.

The second pitch is a much needed addition to Hockey Ballarat, with over 30 teams and almost 400 people competing in the Ballarat based competition. WestVic Hockey’s home ground is also based out of the Prince of Wales Precinct, which has more than 100 members playing in Hockey Victoria State League competitions.

The second surface will allow Hockey Ballarat to support the growth they are seeing in their junior programs. It will also continue to allow WestVic Hockey to provide a quality facility to attract players, and allow the club to continue with it’s own growth.
